Mike drilled into our heads at every sales meeting that we should never let anything disrupt closing the deal. As a new salesperson he went with me to close a deal with Harvey Blonder on a house in Bowie. We were sitting at a round table in the family room, the three of us, in the house. The sellers had left a big sign on the door from the room leading to the garage from this room. It said : DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR AND LET THE DOG IN. So what does Harvey do, but go over and open the door and. In lumbered the biggest St. Bernard dog that I had ever seen. He proceeded to go under the table! Well, the table began to move because the dog was so big that his back was under the table and he was making it move around. Mike just sat there and continued to close the deal as though nothing was happening! It was one of the funniest things that I have ever witnessed in my life. He closed the deal! Trump may have written "The Art of the Deal", but Mike was way ahead of him. He was the best closer of the deal that I have ever seen. I will miss you dear friend - you were larger than life. You , Jack,and Bishop were really a great trio. I hope that you three are together now and continuing to make deals together and laughing as we all used to at each others antics and real estate adventures. May flights of angels wing you on your way. Love!

Of the many fond memories of Mike, one that stands out is his fierce competitiveness and athleticism. Both lovers of raquetball, we frequently played together. Being 20 years younger was no advantage against him. He would gracefully win and be ready to go again...very energetic and fun to be with. Those who have been lucky enough to know him have been enriched by Mike Casey. Our love and prayers to Mike and may his love continue to keep the Casey family strong

Thinking of the Casey families at this sad time I have great memories of Uncle Jimmy visiting our home in Ireland almost very summer when we were growing up. He was such a positive person. My family has known Jimmie (as we called him) since we were all children. His home in Maryland was where all of us headed when we first came to America. Jimmie and his first wife Kathleen (a first cousin of my mother's) opened their home and their hearts to all of us immigrants. When Jimmie married my first cousin Mary (he loved our family so much that he found both his wives among us) his home continued the wonderful Irish tradition of hospitality and warmth. Our hearts are with Mary and all of their children and grandchildren on this sad occasion but we are sure that Jimmie has gone to his wonderful reward in the next life and will be getting the food and drink ready for our eventual arrival.
