At an early age, Arthur accepted Christ into his life and united with Greater St. John Baptist Church in Turner Station, Maryland.

He was educated in the Baltimore County school system attending Bragg Elementary School and Sollers Point High School.

After graduating High School, Arthur enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably until his discharge in 1968. Outstanding decorations he received are the Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Sharp Shooter Badge and Pistol Marksman Badge.

He was employed as a United States Park Police for more than 25 years and retired in 1994.

He leaves to cherish fond memories; two sisters, Lovie (Robert) Dalton and Annie B. Jackson of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Cortez (Rosa) Barnett of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
