Obituary for Rosie M. Roe
Rosie M. Roe, 78, of Temple Hills, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. Rosie was born on February 19, 1942 in Washington, D.C.; she was the daughter of the late Richard Storty and Margaret (Young) Storty.
Rosie was an avid horsewoman who was interested in all things equestrian from an early age. She participated in local horse shows even as a preteen; and continued showing horses into her 30’s. An independent, hard working woman, Rosie began a 46 year career at the Giant Food Company in 1964. Along the way she made friends with many coworkers and customers.
Rosie leaves behind 3 sons, Roger Wayne Chappelear, Richard David Chappelear, and Ronald Dean Roe; a brother Richard Storty; 5 grandchildren, James Baker and his wife Cecilia, Andrew Baker and his wife Allison, Linde Hill and her husband Billy, Amanda Kress and her husband Lane, and Bobby Roe; as well as 6 great grandchildren.
Interment will be private.
