Richard "Woody" Lynn Woodruff, 81, of Magnolia, DE passed away at his home on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Woody was born on July 25, 1938, in Akron, Ohio to the late Gilbert and Margaret Woodruff. He worked as a pressman for the U.S. Treasury Department. Woody enjoyed being outside working on his yard and being an overall tinkerer fixing things in his workshop. In addition to his parents, Woody was predeceased by his brother, Fred Woodruff. He is survived by his wife, of 25 years Marilyn; his children, Edward L. (Tisch) Woodruff of Odenton, MD, Brian "Woody" (Diana) of Redondo Beach, CA, Shellie Rae Woodruff of Wilmington, NC, Traci Lee Page of Edgewater, MD and Terry Lee (Christina) Harris of Huntingtown, MD; 13 grandchildren, Eddie, Jamie, Christina, Ayla, Raina, Blake, Trevor, Olivia, Constance, Tyler, Dylan, Tommy, and Travis; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Makenzie, Makayla, Lala and Kaden; two sisters, Karen Woodruff of Massillon, OH, and Janice Makinson of Akron, OH. On Saturday, December 7, a visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:45 am at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A celebration of Woody's life will immediately follow the funeral service at the American Legion Post 226, 830 Mayo Road, Edgewater, MD.
