Edward J. O'Connor, Jr. "Ed or Eddy", 65, of Annapolis, MD, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2018 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born on June 14, 1953 in Washington, DC to the late Francis and Edward O'Connor, Sr., Ed graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, MD. He then earned a Political Science degree with honors from the University of Maryland in College Park. While at the University of Maryland, Ed was elected President of the University Commuters Association and was awarded the University of Maryland Alumni Associates Outstanding Student Award. Ed also later received his doctorate in Judicial Studies from the University of Maryland's School of Law in Baltimore, MD. Ed loved both playing and listening to music. In his twenties he wrote many songs about the people he met on his life's journey (you know who you are). Ed enjoyed watching hockey and football and some of his happiest moments were spent enjoying the relaxing and laid back style in the British Virgin Islands with friends. Ed is survived by his two beloved daughters, Lauren Michelle O'Connor and Caitlyn Ann Peribonio. He is also survived by his former wives, Cheri Lynn Blackborn, who was his high school sweetheart, and Julie Ann Spahn. A special thank you to the many individuals who assisted at the University of Maryland Medical Center of Baltimore, MD for their loving care and support during his final days. Also the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, P.A for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held at Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Rd., Annapolis, MD at 3 PM on Tuesday, December 18.
