Obituary for Vaughan S. Alexander

Vaughan S. “Mickey” Alexander, 66, of Washington, D.C. departed his earthly life on Dec. 1, 2018 in Waldorf, MD. He is survived by his father, George Alexander; his sister Judy Alexander; his brothers, Phillip, Ronald, and Karl Alexander; his children, Brandon, Alexander, Tracy Ramsey, Shamelle Esquilin, Crystal Wortham, and others; his grandchildren, Lathan Boyd, Taylor and Israel Ramsey, and others; his stepdaughter Gayla Wilerson; his aunts, Mary Bernyce Smith and Dina Harvey; his Uncle Frank Harvey; his sister-in-laws, Lulu Hester-Alexander, D.D.S., Sharon Tyler, Betty Alexander; his friend Gayla Alexander, and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Harvey McDermon, brother Timothy Alexander, and nephew Timothy Mason.

He attended Anacostia High School Class of 1970 and worked in transport for a number of years, most recently with T and T Towing and for many years with Vince’s Corvette Corral customizing and repairing vehicles. He was the chief of building engineering for ten years. He enjoyed many fun-filled days boating on the waters of the Potomac and Chesapeake Bay.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., December 15th at 10:00 A.M. until time of Memorial Service at 11 A.M. at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745
