Leo T. Gibson, 81 of Deale passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Leo was born to the late Milton and Margaret Gibson on October 12, 1936 in Owensville, MD. He was a graduate of Southern High School. Leo started his career with Hopkins and Waysons, and ultimately retired after 39 years from International Harvester now known as Navistar. He was a lifelong member of our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer fireman in Deale. Leo enjoyed going out to dinner, riding a four wheeler with his brother, Elmer, playing basketball with his grandkids, and visiting Ocean City, MD with his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Milton W. Gibson and his sister, Anna Marie Charrier. Leo is survived by his wife of 56 years, Catherine; his daughter, Lisa (Jason) LesCallett of Shady Side; granddaughters, Caitlin, Brooke and Alison LesCallett; brother, Elmer (Barbara) Gibson of Harwood; sister-in-law, Ellen Gibson of Annapolis; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to celebrate Leo's life on Tuesday, October 16 from 10:30 am until his Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Rd, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
