Obituary for Timothy William Miller

Timothy W. Miller, 62, of Edgewater, MD, passed away at his home on Friday, October 5, 2018 after a brief illness. Born on November 13, 1955 in Reading, PA to Shirley Lutz Miller and the late George S. Miller, Tim served in the United States Navy from 1976-79 as a Hull Technician on the USS Talbot and USS Inchon. He was well respected for his professional work in the construction industry. Tim was acknowledged for his skill and passion in creating fishing lures and flies; many were works of art. He was well known for his sharp wit and keen sense of humor and his passing caused a ripple of sadness through the community as he was an avid fisherman and was admired for his passion and love of the waterways and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Kim Mundorff Miller; his son, Collin Miller; his sisters, Meridan (Hal) Smith and Joy (Oliver) Baker; his brother, Todd Miller and his mother-in-law, Carole Mundorff. Tim is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, brothers and sisters in law, extended family and dear friends. A celebration of life will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation; the ASPCA; or the Maryland Department of Resources, Wounded Warrior and Veteran Outreach Program, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.
