Obituary for Robert Lee "Bob" Myers

Robert Lee Myers was born on the fifth of October in 1938 and lived life his own way until September 30, 2018. As a young man, he was drafted by the US Army and sent into the Korean Warwhere he learned his trade.

Immediately after his discharge, Robert worked as a telecommunications expert for AT&T, and as such, gained prominence in his union hall (Local CWA 2108) by serving as Chief Stuart & Vice President. He met and married Victoria Myers via this career and fathered three children: Eric Lee, TamaraSuzanne and Robert Anthony.

During his nearly 80 years of existence, he enjoyed everything that life had to offer including (but not exclusive to) skiing, carpentry, youth sports guidance, grilling an excellent steak, chili innovation andexploring exciting places with his friends and family.
This well-travelled man happily embarked on many recreational adventuresthat took him all over the globe from Venezuela to Vermont and most places in between. He always said, “There is nothing you have done that I have not done twice”.

A beloved father, husband, coach, volunteer, friend and colleague whose honesty, work ethic and charisma made him a natural leader even though his humility would never let him admit to that.
Robert Lee is survived by his sisters Barbara, Terry & Janet, his wife Victoria and sons Eric and Robert.
His teachings, leadership, patience, temperance and wisdom will be missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life on Saturday, October 6 at 2pm at the George p. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment private. Online Condolences may be made at KalasFuneralHomes.com
