Frances “Bitsy” Mae Jackson, 70, of Edgewater, MD, passed away on September 29, 2018. She was born on July 21, 1948, in Pearce, WV to the late Frank Collins and Frences Drenning Collins.
Bitsy enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, bowling, poker, gardening, jet skiing, dancing, shopping, and squirrel hunting. She had a love of fairies (especially Tinkerbell) and anything shiny. She always had a dog that she enjoyed spoiling. Bitsy was loved and will be missed beyond measure.
Bitsy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Douglas Jackson, whom she married on July 2, 1965; one brother, Frank Collins; and one sister, Joyce Collins.
She is survived by one son, Douglas Jackson (Tina) of Edgewater, MD; one daughter, Brenda Herbster (Ron) of Martinsburg, WV; five grandchildren, Travis Jackson of Edgewater, MD, Amber Asmussen (Ryan) of West River, MD, Brandi Jackson-Kegley of Baltimore, MD, Michael Kegley of Easton, MD, and Kenneth Egor of Martinsburg, WV; and three great-grandchildren, Brantley Asmussen, Hailey Asmussen and Kirby Cahill. She is also survived by her beloved Pomeranian: Mr. Jingles; and four sisters, Shawn Wander, Christine Collins, Helen Collins, and Karen Collins.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bitsy's life at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 10:00 am. Burial immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 1911 Forest Dr., Annapolis, MD.
